The University of Roehampton London UAE Campus is proud to announce the appointment of Professor Dr Naveed Yasin as the Founding Academic Dean of Business and Institutional Head of Faculty and Professional Staff. This appointment marks a significant milestone in the institution's expansion into the UAE.

Professor Naveed Yasin brings a wealth of experience to this pivotal role, with a diverse international background and a proven track record in entrepreneurship, impactful research in higher education, and academic leadership across the Middle East, North America, and the UK.

Prof. Yasin's entrepreneurial journey includes successfully launching various startups in the UK across multiple industries, showcasing his business acumen and vision. His consultancy work has extended to startup businesses and developing new universities, focusing on fostering an entrepreneurial culture in higher education institutions. He has received prestigious international awards, including the Outstanding All-Rounded Academic Award from the Teaching & Learning Institute, UK. Industry, educational bodies, and governments have recognized his expertise in the internationalization of higher education. His selection as an EntreComp Champion by the European Union Commission in 2023 further attests to his ability to translate EU policy into action.

As an international university consultant, Professor Yasin has been instrumental in launching provisions for the University of Roehampton London UAE campus and leading the initiative for a successful approval event. He has led successful university-industry collaborations, bridging the academic world with creative industries and entrepreneurship, including notable projects with Netflix celebrities and Honor Electronics.

Dr Yasin holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship from the University of Huddersfield, an AACSB-accredited institution, along with additional postgraduate qualifications in Higher Education and Teaching and Learning. He has developed substantial entrepreneurship programs aligned with the UAE Ministry of Education and Stanford University partnership mandate. Prof. Yasin is also triple crown accredited as a Chartered Companion to the Chartered Management Institute, a Chartered Manager in Canada and the USA, a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and a Certified Business and Management Educator by the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS, UK).

In his new role, Professor Yasin will shape the strategic vision, develop HE policies, hire international faculty, and implement curricula that align with the university's global standards and local educational regulations. His appointment is expected to foster a dynamic learning environment, promote innovative teaching methodologies, and enhance collaborative research opportunities.
